CONSERVATION STATUS:
- Critically endangered.
CULTIVATION:
- Full sun.
- Regular watering and good drainage.
- Frost hardy.
PROPAGATION:
- Fast grower that readily propagates from seed and suckers.
NATURAL HABITAT:
- Mpumalanga Province where it grows on steep slopes and rocky areas in the Middelburg district and Loskopdam area.
STEM:
- Erect, aerial stem that can become reclining when long.
- Stem can attain a length of up to 7 meters with a diameter of 25 cm – 50 cm.
- Stem apex has long, slender grey cataphylls.
